Admission
Admission Procedure for BDS at BIDSH
Candidates aspiring to pursue the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital must meet the basic eligibility criteria and qualify in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG), conducted annually by the National Testing Agency (NTA), typically in May. NTA is responsible solely for conducting the examination, declaring results, and forwarding the All India NEET Rank to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), New Delhi, which oversees counselling for 100% of seats in Deemed Universities.
The NEET-UG application must be submitted online via the official BIDSH website once the notification is released. Applicants are advised to thoroughly read the Information Bulletin and ensure all personal and academic details are accurate before submission.
Post result declaration, candidates must register for counselling through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) portal under the UG Medical Counselling section for Deemed/Central Universities. Seat allotment is based on NEET-UG merit, and candidates must lock their preferred college choices during this process.
Admission to both Management and NRI category seats is strictly based on inter-se merit in NEET-UG. Candidates applying under the NRI quota must submit the following documents to the MCC-designated email prior to registration:
-
Affidavit from the NRI sponsor
-
Proof of NRI status (Passport and Visa of the sponsor)
-
Legal documentation establishing the relationship between the sponsor and candidate, in accordance with Supreme Court directives (W.P.(C) No. 689/2017)
-
Sponsor’s affidavit confirming full financial responsibility for the course
-
