Admission
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission, candidates must satisfy the academic requirements set by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12th (Higher Secondary) examination from a recognized board (CBSE, TNSB, ICSE, etc.).

Mandatory Subjects: Must have passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).

Minimum Aggregate Marks (in PCM):

General Category (OC): Minimum 45% aggregate.

Backward Class (BC/BCM): Minimum 40% aggregate.

MBC & DNC: Minimum 40% aggregate.

SC/SCA/ST: Minimum 40% aggregate.

Lateral Entry: Candidates holding a relevant Diploma in Engineering or a B.Sc. degree (with Mathematics) can apply for direct admission to the 2nd year (3rd semester).
Admission Process
Admission is divided into Government Counseling and Management Quota.
1. Government Quota (TNEA)
The majority of seats are filled via the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling:

Registration: Apply online via the TNEA official portal.

No Entrance Exam: Admission is strictly based on the normalized marks from your 12th board exams.

Counseling Code: Use 4954 to select Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar College of Engineering during the choice-filling stage.

Seat Allotment: Allotment is issued based on your rank, community category, and the availability of seats in your preferred branch.
2. Management Quota

Direct Application: A portion of seats is reserved for direct admission by the college management.

Selection: Candidates must meet the minimum eligibility marks and apply directly through the college's administrative office.
