BDS Admission Process for 2025

Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College & Hospital, a constituent unit of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth (Deemed-to-be University), manages its BDS admissions through the All India Quota (AIQ) counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for Deemed Universities.

The admission process typically involves the following steps:

  1. NEET UG Examination Candidates must appear for and qualify in the NEET (UG) entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

  2. Counselling Registration NEET-qualified candidates are required to register on the official MCC website for AIQ counselling applicable to Deemed Universities.

  3. Choice Filling and Locking During counselling, candidates must select and lock their preferred colleges and courses. To apply to Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College & Hospital, Pune, BDS must be listed among the choices.

  4. Seat Allotment MCC publishes seat allotment results based on NEET rank, preferences submitted, and seat availability.

Eligibility Criteria for BDS

    • General Category: Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).

    • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): Minimum 40% aggregate in PCB.

  • Entrance Requirement A valid and qualifying score in NEET (UG) is mandatory for admission.

  • Course Duration The BDS program spans five years, comprising four years of academic instruction followed by a one-year compulsory rotating internship.
