BDS Eligibility Requirements

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed the 10 2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

  • The qualifying subjects must include Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology), and English.

  • Minimum aggregate marks required in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB):

    • General (Unreserved) Category: 50 percent

    • SC/ST/OBC Categories: 40 percent

Age Criteria

  • The candidate must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31 of the admission year.

  • There is no upper age limit as per current NEET guidelines.

Entrance Examination Requirement

  • Admission to the BDS program is strictly based on performance in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

  • Candidates must qualify NEET-UG with a valid score above the prescribed cut-off for their category.

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must participate in the All India Quota (AIQ) counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for Deemed Universities.

  • Seat allotment is based on NEET rank, preferences submitted during counselling, and seat availability.

  • NRI, PIO, OCI, and foreign nationals are also eligible, provided they meet the academic and NEET criteria.
