Eligibility
1. Entrance Exam Requirement

Admission to the BDS program is strictly based on the candidate’s performance in the NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate).

Candidates must qualify NEET-UG with the minimum percentile prescribed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for their respective category.
2. Academic Qualification
-
Candidates must have passed the 10 2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Physics
-
Chemistry
-
Biology/Biotechnology
-
English (as a compulsory subject)

3. Minimum Marks Requirement
-
General Category: Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology.

SC/ST/OBC Categories: Minimum 40% aggregate marks in the same subjects.
4. Age Criteria
-
Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year.
5. Admission Process

As a Deemed University, Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute participates in centralized counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Participate in counselling rounds for seat allotment
