BDS admission process at the Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi:
Admission Basis
Admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program is based entirely on the candidate’s performance in the NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate). Jamia Millia Islamia does not conduct a separate entrance exam for BDS.
Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10 2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as core subjects.

Minimum Marks: A minimum of 50% aggregate in PCB subjects is generally required.

Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year.

NEET UG Score: A valid and qualifying NEET UG score is mandatory.
Admission Steps

Appear for NEET UG Candidates must register for and take the NEET UG exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Register on Jamia’s Admission Portal After NEET results are announced, candidates must visit the and register for admission.

Fill Out the Application Form

Go to the “Admissions” section.

Click on “Register Yourself” and enter basic details (name, email, date of birth, phone number).

Complete the application form and upload required documents.

Pay the application fee online or offline.

Counseling and Interview Shortlisted candidates based on NEET scores may be called for counseling and an interview at the Faculty of Dentistry. This step helps finalize seat allocation.

Seat Allotment and Reporting Candidates who are allotted a seat must report to the college for document verification and fee payment to confirm admission.
