Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), established in 1998 by the Government of NCT of Delhi under the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act (amended in 1999), is a premier teaching and affiliating institution recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 12B of the UGC Act. Accredited with an A++ grade and a CGPA of 3.56 on a seven-point scale, valid for seven years from 14 February 2023, the University is committed to advancing studies, research, and extension work in emerging areas of higher education, with a strong focus on professional disciplines such as engineering, technology, management, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, education, and law. Its vision is to inspire and empower scholars intellectually and emotionally, enabling them to contribute to societal welfare, adapt to changing economic needs, and provide cultural leadership that fosters peace, harmony, and prosperity. The University’s mission is to deliver market-oriented professional education to students across India, particularly in Delhi, while supporting the growth of higher education and addressing the evolving demands of Indian industries through the establishment of Colleges and Schools of Studies as Centres of Excellence in key professional domains.
