Admission Process 

1. Entrance Exams Accepted:

   • WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam) – 80% seats.

   • JEE Main – 10% seats.

   • Management Quota – 10% seats (valid WBJEE/JEE Main rank required).

   • JELET – For lateral entry (2nd year) from diploma/B.Sc. holders.

2. Counselling: Conducted by WBJEE Board; seat allotment based on rank, category, and preference.

3. Application Mode: Online via WBJEE/JEE Main portals and HIT’s official site.

 Eligibility Criteria

1. Must have passed 12th (Class XII) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

2. Minimum 45% aggregate in PCM (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).

3. Valid rank in WBJEE/JEE Main.

4. For Lateral Entry (JELET): Diploma in Engineering/Technology or B.Sc. with Mathematics.

 Documents Required

1. WBJEE/JEE Main Admit Card & Rank Card.

2. Class 10th & 12th mark sheets and certificates.

3. Transfer/Migration Certificate.

4. Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS, if applicable).

5. Domicile Certificate (for WB quota).

6. Passport-size photographs.

7. Identity Proof (Aadhaar card, Passport, etc.).
