INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING, KURNOOL

Established in 2015, the Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool (IIITDM Kurnool) is an autonomous public university and an Institute of National Importance. Located on the scenic Jagannathagattu Hill in Andhra Pradesh, it was established by the Ministry of Education to promote design-centric engineering education. The institute is fully funded by the Government of India and focuses on integrating "Design" and "Manufacturing" into its core technical curriculum to produce industry-ready engineers. IIITDM Kurnool offers industry-aligned engineering programs emphasizing design thinking, innovation, product development, and research. The institute promotes hands-on learning through labs, workshops, and interdisciplinary projects. Labs Available Based on the official departmental listings, the following specialized labs are available for students: Robotics Laboratory: Equipped for research in autonomous systems and industrial automation. DREAAMS Lab: Specialized in Design Realization, Additive, and Advanced Manufacturing Systems. VLSI and Embedded Systems Lab: Dedicated to IC design and hardware-software interaction. Thermal and Fluids Laboratory: Features experimental rigs for thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. Computer Networking Lab: Focused on network protocols and secure communication. Materials Processing and Technology Lab: Equipped for testing material strength and properties.
