1. Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for admission into the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Completion of 10 2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects.

• Minimum Marks Requirement:

  • General Category: Minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  • SC/ST/OBC Categories: Minimum of 40% aggregate in the same subjects.

• NEET-UG Requirement: A valid and qualifying score in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is mandatory.

• Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2025.

2. Admission and Counseling Process

Admission to the BDS program is conducted entirely online and follows a structured process:

• Step 1 – NEET-UG Examination: Candidates must appear for and qualify in the NEET-UG exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

• Step 2 – Counseling Registration: After NEET results are declared, candidates must register for counseling.

  • For State Quota (85%), registration is done through the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

  • For All India Quota (15%), registration is completed via the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) website.

• Step 3 – Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates must select preferred colleges and courses during counseling and lock their choices before the deadline. Listing KLE Society's Institute of Dental Sciences as a top preference is recommended for those aiming to secure a seat.

• Step 4 – Seat Allotment: Seats are allocated based on NEET-UG rank, category, and preferences. The college offers an annual intake of 50 BDS seats.

• Step 5 – Document Verification and Admission Confirmation: Candidates allotted a seat must report to the college within the specified timeline with original documents for verification and to complete the admission formalities, including fee payment.
