Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Admission – Lenora Institute of Dental Sciences

Admission to the BDS program at Lenora Institute of Dental Sciences, Rajahmundry, is conducted through a centralized counseling process based on the candidate’s performance in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET-UG). The application and counseling procedures are managed online by the designated state authority.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission, candidates must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Age Requirement: The applicant must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the admission year.

  • Academic Qualifications: Candidates must have passed the 10 2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as individual subjects.

  • Minimum Marks:

    • General category candidates must secure at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

    • Candidates belonging to SC, ST, or OBC categories are eligible with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in the same subjects.

  • Entrance Examination: A valid and qualifying score in NEET-UG is mandatory. This national-level exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), serves as the sole entrance test for BDS admissions across India.

Admission Procedure

  1. NEET-UG Examination Candidates must register for and appear in NEET-UG. The score obtained will determine eligibility and ranking for admission.

  2. State Counseling Registration After NEET-UG results are declared, eligible candidates must register for the Andhra Pradesh state counseling process, conducted by Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada.

  3. Choice Filling and Locking During counseling, candidates must log in to the official portal, select their preferred colleges and courses, and lock their choices. Lenora Institute of Dental Sciences should be listed among the preferred options to be considered for admission.

  4. Seat Allotment Based on NEET-UG rank, seat availability, and reservation norms, the university will allocate seats. Candidates can download their provisional allotment letter from the portal once results are published.

  5. Reporting and Document Verification Candidates allotted a seat must report to the college with the allotment letter and original documents for verification. Admission is finalized upon successful verification and payment of the prescribed fee.
