Eligibility
Academic Eligibility
To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, candidates must meet the following academic criteria:

Educational Qualification: Completion of 10 2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as mandatory subjects.

Minimum Marks Requirement:

General Category: Minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology.

Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): Minimum of 40% aggregate marks in the same subjects.

NEET-UG and Age Criteria

NEET-UG Requirement: Admission is strictly based on performance in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates must meet or exceed the prescribed cutoff percentile to qualify.

Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 17 years of age as of December 31st in the year of admission.
Admission Process
Admission to the BDS program is facilitated through the state-level counseling process managed by Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. Following the announcement of NEET-UG results:

Eligible candidates must register for the Andhra Pradesh state counseling.

Seat allocation is based on NEET-UG rank and the preferences submitted during the counseling process.
