The Faculty of Dental Sciences was earlier the M.S. Ramaiah Dental College and Hospital and was established in 1991.
The Faculty offers a 4‑year undergraduate programme including one year internship leading to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree and a 3‑year postgraduate programme leading to the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degreeThe Faculty also offers Certificate programmes in Esthetic Dentistry and Oral Implantology and a Doctoral research programme leading to the award of a Ph.D. degree.

M.S. Ramaiah Dental College & Hospital, now known as the Faculty of Dental Sciences under Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), is one of the premier dental institutions in India, located in the vibrant city of Bengaluru. In addition to these, the institution also offers Ph.D. programs in select dental specialties, as well as certificate and value-added courses in areas such as Implantology and Aesthetic Dentistry. The campus is part of the expansive Ramaiah Educational City, which spans over 80 acres and houses multiple institutions.
