BDS Admission Process – 2025 

Admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at M.S. Ramaiah Dental College is primarily based on the candidate’s performance in the NEET UG entrance exam. The process typically involves the following steps:

1. NEET UG Qualification: Candidates must appear for and qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

2. Eligibility Requirements:

   • Completion of 10 2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects

   • Minimum 50% aggregate marks in PCB for General Category; 40% for SC/ST/OBC

   • Must be 17 years or older by December 31, 2025

3. Application to MSRUAS: After NEET results are announced, candidates must apply online for the BDS program via the official MSRUAS website.

4. Counseling Registration:

   • For State Quota seats, register through the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA)

   • For All India Quota or Deemed University seats, register via the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC)

5. Seat Allotment and Admission Confirmation: Based on NEET rank, category, and preferences, seats are allotted during counseling rounds. Selected candidates must report to the college with required documents and pay the admission fees to confirm their seat.

Note: Ranks are more reliable than scores due to annual fluctuations in exam difficulty. Cutoffs for State Quota, Private Quota, and Reserved Categories tend to be higher (i.e., less competitive) than those for the All India General category.
