1. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

2. Admission is based on national-level management entrance exams such as CAT / XAT / CMAT / MAT.

3. Shortlisted candidates are required to appear for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

4. Final selection is based on entrance exam score, GD, PI, and academic performance.

Step-by-Step Admission Process

  For MBA Program

1. Apply Online via MNIT Website

   • Visit  mnit.ac.in  

   • Fill MBA application form (usually opens in Jan–Feb)

2. Entrance Exam

   • Accepts CAT scores

   • Shortlisting based on CAT percentile and academic profile

3. GD/PI Round

   • Shortlisted candidates invited for Group Discussion and Personal Interview

4. Final Merit List

   • Composite score based on CAT, GD/PI, academics, and work experience

5. Admission Confirmation

   • Pay fees and submit documents

 For Ph.D. Programs

1. Apply Online via MNIT Portal

   • Applications open twice a year (Jan & July sessions)

2. Written Test & Interview

   • Conducted by respective departments

3. Selection & Enrollment

   • Based on academic record, test performance, and research proposal

Expected Competitive Cutoff Range

Application form must be filled ONLINE on the link given on the MNIT website after payment of application fees ONLINE (Rs. 1000/- for  Open/OBC category and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PH category)
