Eligibility
Eligibility requirements for admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS), New Delhi:
Academic Qualification-

Candidates must have passed 10 2 or equivalent from a recognized board.

Required subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.

Minimum aggregate marks in PCB:

General category: 50%
-
Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC): 40%

Age Requirement-

Applicants must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year.
Entrance Exam-

Admission is based on the NEET UG exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Candidates must qualify NEET UG and meet the cutoff rank set by MAIDS and the counseling authorities.
Additional Notes:

Admission is granted through MCC counseling for the All India Quota (15%) and through Delhi University’s Faculty of Medical Sciences for the State Quota (85%).

MAIDS has an annual intake of 50 BDS seats, making the competition highly selective.
