Admission
Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) from a recognized university.

They must also have appeared in at least one of the following exams:

CAT (Common Admission Test)
-
XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test)
-
GMAT (taken from 2023 onwards)
-
MICAT – MICA’s Own Admission Test
All applicants must take MICAT, which is conducted twice a year:

MICAT I: First Saturday of December
-
MICAT II: Last Saturday of January Candidates can appear for both; the better score is considered.
MICAT consists of three sections:

Section A – Psychometric Test
-
Section B – Descriptive Test
-
Section C – Includes:
-
Divergent & Convergent Thinking
-
Verbal Ability
-
Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation
-
General Awareness
-
Selection Process:
Admission is based on a three-stage process:
-
CAT/XAT/GMAT scores (50% weightage)
-
MICAT performance (50% weightage)
-
Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI)
To qualify:
-
Candidates must clear the Psychometric Test (Section A).
-
Then, their CAT/XAT/GMAT scores are considered.
-
Those meeting the cutoff move to evaluation of Section C and then Section B of MICAT.
-
Shortlisted candidates are invited for GE & PI.
