NMC eligibility standards
National Research Nuclear University (MIFI)
National Research Nuclear University “MIFI,” situated in Moscow, Russia, is a highly reputed and well-established educational institution. It is officially recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), WHO, and other global medical councils, making its degrees widely accepted, including in India. Every year, MIFI attracts a large number of international students, especially from India, due to its affordable tuition fees, advanced infrastructure, and internationally recognized academic programs.
NMC Eligibility Criteria for MBBS in Russia (Applicable for MIFI)
Indian students planning to pursue MBBS at MIFI must meet the following NMC guidelines:-

NMC Standards for Foreign Medical Graduates
As per the NMC Gazette 2021, Indian students pursuing MBBS abroad, including at MIFI, must follow these guidelines:

Duration: The MBBS program should be at least 54 months (4.5 years) (MIFI offers a 6-year MBBS program).

Internship: A 1-year compulsory internship must be completed (MIFI provides practical training in its affiliated hospitals).

Location: The entire course, including the internship, must be undertaken outside India.

Medium of Instruction: The program must be conducted in English or Russian (MIFI provides English-medium MBBS courses for international students).

Licensing Exam: After graduation, students must clear FMGE/NEXT Exam in India to practice as licensed doctors.
