BDS Admission Guidelines at Patna Dental College and Hospital

NEET-UG Requirements
- Valid NEET-UG Score: Admission to the BDS program is solely determined by a candidate’s NEET-UG score and rank in the national merit list.

- OBC/SC/ST Categories: 40th percentile

Academic Eligibility

- Educational Qualification: Completion of 10 2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board is mandatory.
- Subject Requirements: Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as core subjects, along with English.

- General Category: Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology

Admission Process:
Admission is facilitated through centralized counseling, divided into two quotas:

State Quota (85% of seats): Managed by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) under the Under Graduate Medical Admission Counselling (UGMAC). Eligible candidates must register on the BCECEB portal and participate in the counseling rounds.

All-India Quota (15% of seats): Conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Candidates must register on the MCC portal and follow the counseling schedule.
During counseling, candidates are required to submit their preferences for colleges and courses. Seat allotment is based on NEET rank, category, and choices filled. Once a seat is allotted, candidates must report to the college for document verification and fee payment to finalize their admission.
