Admission
Admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at Sibar Institute of Dental Sciences is determined through a merit-based process that begins with the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET-UG). Following the examination, candidates must participate in centralized counseling conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for admission, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Age Requirement: Applicants must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31st of the year of admission.

Academic Qualification: Candidates must have successfully passed the 10 2 examination or its equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as core subjects. English must also be included in the curriculum.

For candidates in the General category, a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology is required.

For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC), the minimum aggregate requirement is relaxed to 40%.

Entrance Examination: A valid and qualifying score in NEET-UG, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is mandatory. Only candidates who meet the cutoff criteria are eligible to participate in the counseling process.
Admission Procedure
The admission process is entirely online and overseen by Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. The steps involved are as follows:

NEET-UG Examination: Candidates must register for and appear in the NEET-UG exam. This is the sole entrance examination recognized for BDS admissions across India.

Counseling Registration: After the declaration of NEET results, eligible candidates must register for the Andhra Pradesh state counseling through the official portal of Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences.

Choice Filling and Locking: During counseling, candidates are required to select their preferred colleges and courses. To be considered for admission to Sibar Institute of Dental Sciences, the college must be listed among the choices. Once preferences are finalized, candidates must lock their selections within the stipulated deadline.

Seat Allotment: Based on NEET-UG rank, reservation criteria, and the choices submitted, the university will release seat allotment results online.

Reporting and Verification: Candidates who are allotted a seat must report to the college within the specified timeframe. They must present the allotment letter along with original documents for verification. Admission is confirmed only after successful document verification and payment of the prescribed fees.
