Eligibility Criteria

• Age Requirement: Applicants must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2025.

• Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10 2 examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as compulsory subjects. English must also be included in the curriculum.

• Minimum Marks:

  • For candidates in the General category, a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology is required.

  • For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC), the minimum aggregate requirement is reduced to 40%.

• Entrance Examination: A valid and qualifying score in NEET-UG, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is mandatory for all applicants, including those applying under management or NRI quotas.

Admission Procedure

The admission process is structured and transparent, comprising the following steps:

1. NEET-UG Examination: Candidates must register for and appear in the NEET-UG exam. This is the sole entrance examination recognized for BDS admissions across India.

2. Counseling Registration: Once NEET-UG results are declared, eligible candidates must register for state-level counseling through the official portal of Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences.

3. Choice Filling and Locking: During counseling, candidates are required to select their preferred colleges and courses.
