BDS Admission Procedure

• All BDS seats are allotted through online counseling conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

• Candidates must qualify NEET-UG and register on the KEA website for all categories: Government Quota, Private Quota, and NRI/Management Quota.

• Admission is based on merit and NEET score, followed by counseling and document verification.

BDS Eligibility Criteria

• Must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually in 10 2 or equivalent.

• Minimum marks required in PCB subjects:

  • General Category: 50%

  • SC/ST/Category I: 40%

• Must be 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the admission year.

• Students from boards other than Karnataka Pre-University must obtain an Eligibility Certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS).

• Course Duration: 4 years 1 year compulsory internship.

MDS Admission Procedure

• All MDS seats are also allotted through KEA counseling based on NEET MDS scores.

• Candidates must register on the KEA website and participate in counseling for seat allotment.

• Admission is open for Government, Private, and NRI/Management quotas.

MDS Eligibility Criteria

• Must hold a recognized BDS degree from a Dental Council of India-approved college.

• Must have permanent registration with the State Dental Council.

• Must have completed a one-year rotating internship after passing the final BDS exam.

• Students from universities other than RGUHS must obtain an Eligibility Certificate from RGUHS.

• Course Duration: 3 years.

Ph.D. Admission Procedure

• Bapuji Dental College is a recognized Ph.D. center for Oral Medicine & Radiology and Periodontology.

• Interested candidates (faculty, BDS, or MDS graduates) may apply through RGUHS.

Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

• Must hold an MDS degree from RGUHS or a recognized university approved by DCI.

• BDS graduates are also eligible for Ph.D. programs, which will be of five years full-time duration.

• Interdisciplinary Ph.D. registrations are allowed with co-guides from the parent and allied departments.

• Candidates with Medical M.Sc. degrees working in dental colleges may register under allied health sciences.
