Admission

Admission Process for BDS at GDCH Ahmedabad:

1. NEET-UG Qualification: To be eligible for admission, candidates must first appear for and qualify in the NEET-UG exam. Your rank in this national-level test is the key factor in determining your eligibility for the counseling process.

2. State-Level Counseling Registration: After NEET results are announced, candidates must register for state-level counseling conducted by the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC). GDCH does not conduct its own admissions; all seats are filled through this centralized system.

3. Choice Filling and Seat Allocation: During online counseling, candidates must submit their preferences for colleges and courses. Given GDCH’s reputation as a top government dental college, it’s advisable to prioritize it in your list. Seat allotment is based on your NEET rank, category, and the choices you submit.

4. Document Verification and Final Admission: Once a seat is allotted, candidates must report to the designated verification center with original documents. After successful verification and fee payment, the admission is officially confirmed.

NEET Cut-Off Trends:

Due to its high demand and affordable fee structure, GDCH Ahmedabad has a competitive NEET cut-off. The cut-off is categorized under two quotas:

Quota Managing Authority General Category Closing Rank (Approx.)
All India Quota (15%) MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) 20,000 – 35,000
State Quota (85%) ACPUGMEC (Gujarat) 77,000 – 1,17,000

Note: These ranks are approximate and may vary each year based on factors like exam difficulty, number of applicants, and seat availability.
