1. Eligibility Criteria for BDS Admission

To qualify for admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Successfully complete the 10 2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.

  • Achieve a minimum aggregate of:

    • 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology for General category candidates.

    • 40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories.

  • Be at least 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the admission year.

  • Possess a valid NEET UG score and meet the qualifying percentile as prescribed by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

 

2. Selection Process

Admission to the BDS program is based on merit, determined by NEET UG scores and facilitated through a centralized counseling process:

  • NEET UG Qualification: Candidates must appear for and qualify the NEET UG examination.

  • Counseling Registration:

    • For State Quota (85%) seats, candidates must register with the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala via the official portal.

    • For All India Quota (15%) seats, registration is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on their official website.

  • Choice Filling and Seat Allotment: Candidates must participate in the respective counseling rounds, select preferred colleges (such as GDC Kozhikode), and lock their choices. Seat allotment is based on NEET rank, seat availability, and applicable reservation norms.

  • Reporting to College: Candidates allotted a seat must report to the college on the designated date with the required documents for verification and pay the initial fee to confirm admission.

 

3. NEET UG Cut-Off (2025 Reference)

4. Documents Required for Admission

During the counseling and reporting phase, candidates must present the following documents in original along with photocopies:

  • NEET UG Admit Card and Scorecard/Rank Letter

  • Allotment Letter issued by the counseling authority

  • Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheets and Passing Certificates

  • Transfer Certificate (TC) and Conduct Certificate

  • Domicile/Nativity Certificate (for State Quota candidates)

  • Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS, if applicable)

  • Proof of Date of Birth (e.g., Birth Certificate or Class 10 certificate)

  • Aadhaar Card or other valid ID proof

  • Recent passport-size photographs.
