MBA Eligibility Criteria – IIM Mumbai

Bachelor’s Degree: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Reserved Category Relaxation: For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the minimum requirement is 45% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Entrance Exam: A valid CAT score from the preceding admission cycle is mandatory.

Final Year Students: Eligible to apply, provided they meet academic requirements based on exams completed so far and finish all degree formalities (including viva voce) before joining the institute.
Admission Process
The selection process is conducted in two stages:
Stage 1 – Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI)

Candidates are shortlisted based on their CAT score and fulfillment of minimum sectional and overall cut-offs for their category.
Stage 2 – Final Selection

Admission is based on a Composite Score, calculated with the following approximate weightage:

CAT Score: 55% – 60%
-
Personal Interview (PI): 20%
-
Academic Performance & Work Experience: 20%
-
Gender Diversity: 0% – 5%
-
Total: 100%
