Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur (IIMS)

Established in 2015, the Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur (IIM Sirmaur) is a centrally funded Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. As one of the newer members of the IIM family, the institute is committed to delivering high-quality management education while fostering interdisciplinary learning and research. IIM Sirmaur integrates academic rigor with local and global aspirations, emphasizing that management education should not only prepare students for competitive careers but also instill a sense of social responsibility and ethical leadership. IIM Sirmaur offers two full-time postgraduate programs MBA and MBA in Tourism as well as a doctoral program (Ph.D). Since its inception, the institute has grown from just 20 students to nearly 500 by 2021, reflecting its rapid development and increasing popularity. The curriculum is designed to be application-oriented and future-aware, delivered by a mix of in-house faculty and visiting experts from premier institutions and industries. Students are trained to develop critical thinking, creativity, ethical decision-making, and collaborative leadership skills. The institute emphasizes holistic development through industry interactions, guest lectures, and management conclaves.

Currently operating from its temporary campus in Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh, IIM Sirmaur provides a modern, Wi-Fi-enabled learning environment with state-of-the-art classrooms, conference facilities, hostels, a 24x7 library, computer labs, and sports amenities. The permanent campus is under phased construction at Dhaula Kuan, District Sirmaur, on a 210-acre site. The first phase, approved at a cost of ₹392.51 crores, will accommodate 600 students across 60,384 square meters and is expected to be completed soon. With a strong foundation in academic excellence and a commitment to ethical and visionary leadership, IIM Sirmaur continues to build its reputation as a rising star in the Indian management education landscape.
