Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Academic Qualification

  • Must have completed 10 2 or equivalent from a recognized board.

  • Required subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.

  • Minimum aggregate marks:

    • General category: 50%

    • Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC): 40%

• Age Requirement

  • Must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year.

• Entrance Exam

  • Must qualify the NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

  • Admission is strictly based on NEET-UG scores.

2. Application and Counseling Process

• Step 1: Registration: Candidates must register online through the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), Gandhinagar, for Gujarat state counseling. For All India Quota or deemed university seats, registration is done via the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in.

• Step 2: Choice Filling: During counseling rounds, candidates must select Karnavati School of Dentistry as their preferred institution and rank their course choices accordingly.

• Step 3: Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on NEET-UG rank, category, and preferences. A merit list is published by the counseling authority.

• Step 4: Reporting and Admission Confirmation: Once allotted a seat, candidates must report to the college with original documents for verification and pay the admission fee to confirm their seat.

• NEET-UG Admit Card and Scorecard

• Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheets

• Transfer Certificate and Migration Certificate

• Caste Certificate (if applicable)

• Domicile Certificate (for state quota)

• Passport-size photographs

• Valid ID proof

4. NEET Cut-Off Trend

In recent years, the NEET-UG cut-off for BDS admission at Karnavati School of Dentistry has been competitive. For example, in 2024, the closing rank for General category (Home State quota) was around 294,760
