Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) – MGPGI Puducherry

Admission Process
Admission to the BDS program is based on merit, determined by the candidate’s rank in the NEET-UG examination. Counselling is conducted through two main channels:

All India Quota (15% of seats): Managed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC)

State Quota (85% of seats, primarily for Puducherry residents): Conducted by the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission, candidates must:

Have passed 10 2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects

Meet the minimum aggregate marks requirement in PCB subjects as specified by the respective counselling authority (typically 50% for General category and 40% for reserved categories)

Be at least 17 years of age by December 31 of the admission year

Qualify in the NEET-UG examination

Fee Structure (2025–2026)
The annual institute fee varies depending on the admission category. Below is a summary of the approximate costs:
