Eligibility Criteria for BDS Admission at MGPGI
1. Educational Qualification

Must have passed 10 2 or equivalent examination.

Required subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.

Minimum aggregate marks in PCB:

General Category: 50%
-
SC/ST/OBC Categories: 40%

2. Age Requirement

Must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year.
3. Entrance Exam

Must qualify the NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate).

Admission is strictly based on NEET-UG merit rank.
4. Counselling Process

All India Quota (15%): Counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

State Quota (85%): Reserved for Puducherry domiciles, managed by CENTAC, Government of Puducherry.

Self-Financing and NRI Quota: Admission based on NEET-UG merit, with seat allocation handled by CENTAC.
