BDS Admission Process – 2025

Admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at K.V.G. Dental College and Hospital is based on performance in the NEET-UG examination. The entire process is conducted online and managed by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) through centralized counseling.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for admission, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

• Academic Qualification: Completion of 10 2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects.

• Minimum Marks Requirement:

  • General Category: Minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  • SC/ST/OBC Categories: Minimum of 40% aggregate in the same subjects.

• Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31 of the admission year.

• NEET-UG Score: A valid and qualifying score in the NEET-UG exam is mandatory for admission.

Step-by-Step Admission Process

1. Appear for NEET-UG: Candidates must take and qualify in the NEET-UG exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

2. Register for Counseling: After NEET results are declared, candidates must register for Karnataka NEET Counseling via the KEA official website.

3. Choice Filling: During counseling, candidates must select their preferred colleges and courses. K.V.G. Dental College and Hospital should be listed among the choices.

4. Seat Allotment: KEA will allocate seats based on NEET-UG rank, category, preferences, and seat availability. The college admits 100 students annually for the BDS program.
