Eligibility
BDS Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the BDS program, candidates must meet the following conditions:

Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10 2 or equivalent examination with:

Physics
-
Chemistry
-
Biology/Biotechnology
-
English (as a compulsory subject)

Minimum Marks Requirement:
-
General Category: Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology

Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): Minimum 40% aggregate in the same subjects

Age Requirement Must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31 of the admission year

Entrance Exam Must qualify the NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate Courses) conducted by NTA
MDS Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the MDS program, candidates must fulfill the following:

Educational Qualification: Must hold a BDS degree from a recognized dental college affiliated with an Indian university and approved by the Dental Council of India (DCI)

Registration Requirement: Must have permanent registration with a State Dental Council

Entrance Exam: Must qualify the NEET-MDS conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS)

Additional Notes: Candidates with foreign dental qualifications must obtain prior approval from the DCI before seeking admission to any MDS program in India
These eligibility norms are consistent with national standards and are enforced during centralized counseling conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for state quota seats and the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for All India Quota and deemed university seats.
