Overview
Basavashree College of Law, Kolar is a private law school established in 2004 by the Basavashree Educational Trust. It’s affiliated with Karnataka State Law University (KSLU), Hubli, and recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Situated approximately 3 km from the Kolar Bus Stand near the TB Hospital, the campus spans around 2.5 acres and houses modern, well-lit facilities including spacious lecture halls, an auditorium, seminar rooms, computer labs, departmental labs, and dedicated moot court halls.
The college places strong emphasis on practical learning and extracurricular engagement. Regular moot court competitions are held at the state level, and the college actively sponsors participation in national and international moot, mock trial, and mock parliament events. Legal aid clinics, court visits, and visits to prisons, police stations, and remand homes are integrated into the curriculum.
Students benefit from a well-stocked library featuring up-to-date law reports and periodicals, and the campus is fully Wi‑Fi enabled. There are also sports facilities (both indoor and outdoor), vegetarian and non-vegetarian cafeteria services, and separate hostels for male and female students, both non‑AC with essential furnishings and security arrangements
