Bhimavaram Institute of Engineering & Technology (BIET) is a private, AICTE-approved engineering institution established in 2007 by the Swaranabharathi Educational Trust to meet the rising demand for quality technical education in India. It is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK) and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in engineering and technology. The campus is set in a serene, pollution-free environment on Gnanananda Ashram Road, Pennada Village, Palakoderu Mandal in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh — around 6 km from Bhimavaram town and well connected by road and rail. The institution’s mission is to cultivate quality engineers by providing state-of-the-art technical education, fostering leadership, creativity, research aptitude, and professional skills. BIET follows a semester-based curriculum with emphasis on both theory and practical learning environments. Computer Labs & Infrastructure BIET is equipped with modern computer labs and engineering facilities. For example, the Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) department has 4 well-equipped labs with around 250 updated computers, high-speed internet connectivity (60 Mbps), and industry-standard software tools to support practical learning and project work. Beyond computer labs, the institute also provides libraries, hostels (separate for boys and girls), a cafeteria/mess, transport facilities, sports grounds, auditorium space, and additional discipline-specific laboratories to support comprehensive engineering education.
