Overview
The CSI Institute of Legal Studies (CSIILS) in Cheruvarakonam, Parassala (Thiruvananthapuram district), established in 2013 by the South Kerala Diocese of the Church of South India, is a private, self-financing law college affiliated with the University of Kerala and approved by the Bar Council of India .
CSIILS offers a wide range of programs: a three-year LL.B. and five-year integrated degrees — B.A. LL.B., BBA LL.B., and B.Com LL.B. — each with an intake of about 60 seats, plus a two-year LL.M. in Constitutional Law . Admissions are primarily through the Kerala Law Entrance Exam (KLEE), with minimum eligibility of 45% in 12th grade.
The campus spans approximately 6 acres in a rural setting, just 1 km from Parassala town, and includes modern infrastructure: smart‑classrooms, a moot court hall, a well-stocked library (including digital resources), separate hostels for men and women, a cafeteria, auditorium, gym, sports grounds, guest rooms, and a medical centre .
CSIILS emphasizes practical legal training with mandatory internships (140 days over five years, including government offices) starting from the first year; active moot court society; legal aid clinics; NSS activities; research forums; and placement support via a functioning cell .
Student feedback, including reviews, highlights the institution’s commitment to ethics-driven education, solid infrastructure, and hands-on learning. While placements include opportunities with LIC, government roles, and junior legal positions, most graduates build their careers through proactive initiatives
