Admission
The Development Management Institute (DMI), Patna, offers a specialized two-year, fully residential Post-Graduate Diploma in Development Management (PGDM), which is equivalent to an MBA in terms of career prospects and scope.
PGDM (Development Management) Eligibility
To be eligible for the PGDM (DM) program at DMI, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Deemed University.

Minimum Marks: At least 50% marks in aggregate in the Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent CGPA).

Relaxation: A minimum of 45% marks is required for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and Differently-Abled (DA) categories.

PGDM Admission Process
The application window for the 2026 batch typically opens in October of the preceding year (October 2025) and closes around February 28, 2026. The selection process starts by April 2026.
1. Application and Shortlisting

Application Mode: Candidates must apply online only through the official DMI Patna admissions portal.

Application Fee (Non-refundable): The fee varies by category:

₹300/- for General candidates.

₹200/- for BC, EBC, EWS, and Female candidates.

₹100/- for SC/ST and Differently-Abled (DA) candidates.

Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on their valid entrance exam scores. The DMI admissions committee determines the category-wise cut-offs for the accepted management tests.
2. Selection Rounds (GDPI)
Shortlisted candidates are called to the Patna campus for the final selection process, which includes:

3. Final Merit List and Weightage
The final merit list is prepared by assigning specific weightage to various components, ensuring a holistic selection process:
