B.Tech Admission Categories
Seats at GIST are filled under two main categories:

Category A (Convener Quota - 70%): Allotted through AP EAPCET counseling based on merit and state reservation rules.

Category B (Management/NRI Quota - 30%): Filled directly by the college management based on merit in the qualifying exam (Intermediate) or JEE Main/AP EAPCET ranks.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a B.Tech seat at GIST, candidates must satisfy the following:

| Minimum Marks | At least 45% aggregate in PCM (40% for reserved categories like SC/ST). |
| Entrance Exam | Must qualify in AP EAPCET . JEE Main qualified candidates are also eligible for Category B. |
| Lateral Entry | Diploma holders can enter the 2nd year directly by qualifying AP ECET. |
| Age Limit | Candidates must have completed 16 years of age. |
