Hindustan University Admission 2025 – Eligibility & Selection Process

At Hindustan University (HITS Chennai), admissions for various UG and PG programs are primarily based on entrance examinations and merit in qualifying examinations. The university accepts national-level test scores and also conducts its own entrance exam, HITSEEE (Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Engineering Entrance Examination), for several programs.

Admission Process – Step-by-Step

1. Application Submission

  • Candidates must register online through the official Hindustan University websitewww.hindustanuniv.ac.in.

  • Fill out the application form with academic and personal details, and pay the application fee.

2. Entrance Exam / Merit Evaluation

  • For BTech, appear for HITSEEE or submit valid JEE Main scores.

  • For PG programs, candidates can apply through national-level test scores (CAT, GATE, TANCET, etc.) or HITS entrance exams.

3. Counselling & Seat Allotment

  • Shortlisted candidates are invited for counselling and document verification.

  • Seats are allotted based on merit, entrance score, and availability.

4. Admission Confirmation

  • Selected candidates must pay the admission fee and complete verification to confirm their seat.
