Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the BDS program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Academic Qualification: Must have passed 10 2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.

• Minimum Marks:

  • General category: 50% aggregate in PCB

  • SC/ST/OBC: 40% aggregate

  • PwD (General): 45% aggregate

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year.

• Entrance Exam: Must qualify the NEET-UG exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Admission Procedure

The BDS admission at IDS Jammu is conducted through the J&K NEET Counseling process managed by the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE):

1. NEET-UG Qualification

   • Candidates must appear for and qualify NEET-UG.

   • Admission is based on NEET rank and seat availability.

2. Online Counseling Registration

   • After NEET results are declared, candidates must register on the JKBOPEE official website for counseling.

   • Fill out the application form and pay the counseling fee.

3. Document Submission & Verification

   • Upload scanned copies of required documents:

     • NEET scorecard

     • Class 10 & 12 mark sheets

     • Domicile certificate

     • Category certificate (if applicable)

4. Choice Filling

   • Candidates can select and lock their preferred colleges and courses.

   • Be sure to include Institute of Dental Sciences, Jammu among your choices.

5. Seat Allotment

   • Seats are allotted based on NEET rank, preferences, and reservation policies.

   • Allotment results are published on the JKBOPEE website.

6. Reporting to College

   • Candidates allotted a seat must report to IDS Jammu within the given timeframe.

   • Submit original documents for physical verification and pay the admission fee to confirm enrollment.
