Eligibility Criteria for MBBS Admission

Academic and Age Requirements

To apply for the MBBS program, candidates must meet the following academic and age-related criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: Completion of 10 2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board is mandatory.

  • Subject Requirements: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) must be core subjects in the 12th-grade curriculum.

  • Minimum Marks:

    • General category applicants must have at least 50% aggregate marks in PCB.

    • Candidates from SC/ST/OBC categories are eligible with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in PCB.

  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year.

Entrance Exam and Language Proficiency

  • NEET Qualification: Indian students must have a valid NEET-UG qualifying score, as per the latest guidelines issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC). This is a mandatory requirement for those intending to practice medicine in India after completing their degree.

  • English Language Skills: Although standardized tests like IELTS or TOEFL are generally not required, universities may conduct an online interview to assess English proficiency. Since the MBBS program is delivered entirely in English, a strong command of the language is essential for academic success.
